Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has successfully signed forward Goncalo Ramos from Portuguese club Benfica on a temporary loan deal. Similar to the Mbappe transfer in 2017, PSG has a permanent buy option for Ramos after his loan period is over.
The 22-year-old Portuguese striker gained attention after scoring a remarkable hat-trick for Portugal in last year’s World Cup held in Qatar.
During the 2022-23 season, he scored 27 goals in 47 appearances for Benfica.
Ramos said:
“I’m very proud and happy to join Paris Saint-Germain. PSG are one of the biggest clubs in the world with one of the best squads,”

This signing marks PSG’s ninth major addition in this transfer window. They have already welcomed goalkeeper Arnau Tenas, defenders Milan Skriniar and Lucas Hernandez, midfielders Marco Asensio, Manuel Ugarte, Lee Kang-in, and Xavi Simons, as well as forward Hugo Ekitike.
