Barcelona forward Pau Víctor is set to leave the club and join Portuguese side SC Braga in a deal worth €15 million (€12M fixed + €3M in add-ons), according to reports. The 23-year-old has agreed personal terms and will travel to Portugal to complete his move.
Limited Chances at Barcelona
Víctor struggled to find regular playing time under Hansi Flick last season. Despite a bright pre-season and a memorable hat-trick against Real Madrid in a friendly, he couldn’t break into the first-team setup.
-
Made only 2 La Liga starts
-
Played 29 games but clocked under 400 minutes
-
Scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist
He was behind several attacking options in the squad:
Robert Lewandowski, Ferran Torres, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, Now also Marcus Rashford, whose arrival further limited opportunities.
Braga Provides a New Opportunity
SC Braga are set to offer Víctor regular football and a leading role in attack. The Portuguese club, known for developing Spanish talent, sees Víctor as a valuable addition.
-
Will replace Roberto Fernández, who left for Espanyol
-
Braga finished 4th in the Primeira Liga last season
-
The deal will be a club-record signing for Braga
Beneficial for Barcelona
Barcelona continues to trim its squad to help with financial fair play regulations. Víctor becomes the latest name in a list of summer departures.
Other players who have exited: Pablo Torre (to Mallorca), Alex Valle (to Como), Ansu Fati (loan to Monaco), Clement Lenglet
Barcelona will use the incoming fee to register new players and balance wages.
Víctor, who began his career at Girona, joined Barça Atletic in 2023 before earning a permanent move in 2024. With limited first-team chances in Spain, a move to Braga could reignite his career and provide the consistent playing time he needs.
