Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have reportedly agreed to transfer Joao Felix, as per Spanish reports. This move is set to happen despite Barcelona’s financial difficulties.
Before joining Barcelona on loan, Joao Felix extended his contract with Atletico Madrid until 2028.
Joao Felix has been absent from Atletico Madrid’s recent activities, including missing training due to personal reasons.
Ansu Fati’s move to Brighton & Hove Albion has created an opportunity in Barcelona’s squad for another forward, and it seems Joao Felix will fill that spot.
Joao Felix became famous with Benfica in 2018-19, scoring 20 goals in his first season. However, since his ÂŁ113 million move to Atletico Madrid, he hasn’t consistently scored in double figures in a league season.
Last season, he played on loan for Chelsea, scoring four goals in 15 games despite being sent off on his debut. Chelsea chose not to make his move permanent.
