Spain vs England: EURO 2024 Final

Spain has made history by defeating France in the semifinals, becoming the first team to win six consecutive games in a single Euros tournament. Meanwhile, England clinched its spot in the final thanks to a stoppage-time goal by Ollie Watkins against the Netherlands.

This marks England’s second appearance in a Euro final, the first being in 2021 when they narrowly lost to Italy in a penalty shootout at Wembley Stadium. England is aiming to secure its first major international trophy since winning the World Cup in 1966.

Spain, on the other hand, is vying for a record fourth European Championship title. A win would break their tie with Germany for the most titles in the tournament’s history. Spain’s previous Euro victories came in 1964, and then in consecutive tournaments in 2008 and 2012, part of a historic run that also included a 2010 World Cup win. Additionally, Spain was the runner-up in 1984, losing to France in the final.

The final will be held at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, home to Hertha BSC, which has a capacity of over 74,000. This is the first time Spain and England will face each other in a Euro final.

Spain hopes to make history by becoming the most successful team in Euro history, while England seeks its first Euro title after the heartbreak of 2021.
