Sergi Roberto Joins Como: Serie A Newcomers Secure Top Talent

Sergi Roberto, the ex-Barcelona captain, is close to starting a new phase of his career with a move to Italian club Como. The former Barça midfielder quickly found a new club, with newly promoted Serie A side Como finalizing a deal to bring him in.

He’s set to sign a two-year contract with the option to extend for an additional season.

Cesc Fabregas, now managing Como and once a teammate of Sergi Roberto at Barcelona, played a key role in bringing him to the club. Fabregas saw the value and experience the 31-year-old offers and convinced the board to pursue the signing.

After spending recent seasons mostly on the bench at Barcelona, Sergi Roberto is eager for a fresh start where he can take on a bigger role. Como offers the perfect opportunity for him to showcase his talent and make a real impact. With 373 official matches for Barcelona, scored 19 goals & provided 43 assists.

This summer, Como has added legendary players like RaphaĂ«l Varane and Pepe Reina to their squad. The club has also secured deals for Real Madrid midfielder Nico Paz and Manchester City’s Máximo Perrone.
