Cole Palmer has signed a two-year contract extension with Chelsea, keeping him at the club until June 2033. The extension is a reward for his stellar first season at Stamford Bridge, where he notched 25 goals and 15 assists in 45 games.
Chelsea signed Palmer from Manchester City last summer for ÂŁ40 million, with an extra ÂŁ2.5 million in potential add-ons. The 22-year-old initially signed a seven-year deal with an option for an additional year.
He’s one of six nominees for the PFA Men’s Young Player of the Year award for 2023-24, alongside Bukayo Saka, Michael Olise, Joao Pedro, Kobbie Mainoo, and Alejandro Garnacho. The winner will be revealed on August 20.
