Ipswich Signs Kalvin Phillips on Loan from Manchester City for Season

Kalvin Phillips is heading to Ipswich Town on a year-long loan from Manchester City, aiming to revive his career with the newly promoted side as the Premier League season begins.

Kalvin Phillips’ time at Manchester City hasn’t gone as planned since his £45 million move from Leeds United in 2022. Injuries, inconsistent form, and a challenging relationship with Pep Guardiola have marred his two years at the club.

Now, the England international is heading to Ipswich on loan, looking for a fresh start away from the Premier League champions.

In one and a half seasons with Guardiola’s team, Phillips has made just 31 appearances and has contributed only one goal. Manchester City has been seeking a permanent move for him to recover their 2022 investment.
