Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the signing of Barca Reserve Goalkeeper Arnau Tenas.
The Spanish goalkeeper joined the new team without any transfer fee as he moved after his contract with the Catalan club had come to an end in the 2021-22 season.
For Spain’s youth teams, Tenas has performed exceptionally well. He was the starting goalkeeper in their victory at the U19 Euros in 2019. This summer, he also impressed while playing for the U21 side at the Euros, even though Spain lost to England in the final on penalties.
Tenas in an official press release said:Â
“I’m very happy to be joining this great club and be part of the PSG goalkeeping family. Some very good goalkeepers have marked the history of Paris Saint-Germain. Of course, I also have a big thought for Sergio Rico,”
PSG’s Statement:
“Paris Saint-Germain is pleased to announce the signing of Arnau Tenas. The 22-year-old goalkeeper has signed a contract until 2026 with the club,”
“Born in Vic in the province of Barcelona in Spain in May 2001, Arnau Tenas joined FC Barcelona in 2010 to begin his training there.
“The promising goalkeeper has risen through the ranks to establish himself as a part of the Barca reserve team, of which he was the captain during last season. From the 2020-2021 season, he was regularly called up to the first team,”
