Sadio Mane signs with Al-Nassr after leaving Bayern, joins Ronaldo

Sadio Mane, the Senegalese forward, has joined the Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr after spending one season with Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga champions.

Despite scoring 12 goals in 38 games during his time with Bayern, Sadio Mane faced challenges within the club.

Before joining Bayern, he had a fantastic run at Liverpool, scoring 120 goals in 269 games and winning major tournaments such as the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, and Club World Cup.

As stated on the club website, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen said:

“We want to thank Sadio Mane for the past season,”

“It certainly hasn’t been an easy year for him, suffering an injury just before the World Cup and missing out on participation with Senegal, whom he had earlier led to their maiden Africa Cup of Nations triumph and World Cup qualification.

“Due to the long downtime, he wasn’t able to contribute as much to FC Bayern as we and he himself had hoped. That’s why we decided together that he should start a new chapter in his career and make a fresh start at another club.”

He will be pairing up with Cristiano Ronaldo at the Saudi club. The Saudi club has also signed Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, Brazilian full-back Alex Telles, and Seko Fofana.

AlNassr FC shared a video on Twitter(X) after officially signing with the club.
